      Let’s see, I’ve been all over Australia, from the deserts where there are no trees for hundreds of miles in all directions, to tropical beaches where there are crocodiles and crabs! I’ve been to the tops of volcanoes in New Zealand and South America. I’ve been to the Cascade Mountain range in western USA (which is all pretty much volcanoes!). I’ve been to Iceland and worked right next to huge fast and freezing cold rivers. Not many of these are ‘places’ with names or anything – I go to areas where there isn’t any roads or people – because rocks are everywhere! Some people take their work with them – what’s so cool about being a geologist is that the work is there when you arrive!
