• Question: what were you like with 'science' at school ?

      I was pretty good at it. I admit that sometimes it was a bit dull, but then everything has dull stuff – if you’re a musician or a sports player you still have to put in hours of dull practice! I was also horrible at hands-on experiments – I broke things, burned myself, killed plants. This is why I do computer simulations – less chance of breaking something! Although I still manage to break the supercomputer from time to time and have to ask nicely for the person running it to fix it… the guy is really nice, though, and usually fixes it quickly.
