      Hmmm, we’d have to ask a biologist – or even better an ornithologist (that’s a scientist that specialises in birds).

      I was just reading Sam’s link above, and wow – some of those birds have something like only 50 left in the wild! That’s really sad. They do have some great names though!

      Also, Wikipedia has a list of species that are “extinct in the wild” – meaning some exist, but only in captivity. There are quite a few birds on there too:

      Well the Dodo is so rare it’s extinct but I don’t think that counts.
