      So the New Horizons probe was sent to Pluto, and it has a maximum speed of 36000 mph! It was launched in 2006 and will get to Pluto in 2015, so it’s still really slow if you want to explore the Solar System. Hopefully if we want to travel to other planets we’ll make faster rockets in the future.
