• Question: I've heard on the news that you can get energy from digging underground and blasting high pressure water through, cracking rocks and stones and harnessing energy from that. How strong (or heavy or however you measure pressure) is it? What is it equivalent to?

Right, so geothermal power uses the heat difference between deep underground and the surface to make energy. It can be effective, but digging underground takes a lot of work. The output from geothermal power worldwide so far is 10 megawatts but it could be many times more than that.

I didn’t know any of that! I didn’t even know there was such a thing as “geothermal power”. Awesome and Sam, thanks for the lesson! (see you learn something new every day).
