• Question: How do jellyfish reproduce?

      Um wow, this is not something I’ve ever thought about. Wikipedia says this (yes, I can do this): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jellyfish#Reproduction

      So apparently they can reproduce on their own, which is pretty neat. They release sperm and eggs into the water, which mix. So they don’t need to touch to reproduce.

      Yep they are not good parents, but because they release millions and millions of eggs and sperm into the sea, the chances of a sperm and egg finding each other and combining to form a new jellyfish are pretty good! The tiny baby jellyfish get bigger and bigger until its time for them to release eggs and sperm too – and so the cycle continues 🙂
