Different people grow up different ways, and get into different things. There’s no good reason why some people should like one thing rather than another. For example, if all your friends like guitars, and playing guitar means you get to hang out with your friends, you might like guitars. If you had a bad experience with guitars – for example you played in a concert and it went very badly, or if someone you don’t like plays guitars – you might dislike them. What people like and don’t like varies quite a lot. You can, of course, learn to like something if you really want. I used to dislike tomatoes but learned to like them in the end.

Good question, it all comes down to the fact that we are all different from each other, we are all unique. I guess it’s natural for us to like difference things and dislike different things if we are all different to begin with!

Also tastes and preferences just change as you grow up. I used to hate avo. Then I tried it again one day and I just liked it.

I think that personal abilities help too – if you’re good at something, you enjoy it easier because you master it quicker. People who struggle with something might enjoy it less (though the sense of accomplishment when they do master it is probably greater!)
